Designer Rianne Koens

Rianne Koens graduated with high academic honors from the Eindhoven Design Academy in 2011. Her graduation project “Peelpride” was awarded and her stackable “Otura cabinet” was nominated for an award. After this success, she founded Otura Design in 2012. In 2013, she moved to Turkey with her Turkish husband and has been designing and producing in Istanbul ever since, drawing inspiration from Turkish culture. Influenced by the daily rituals of the Turkish family structure and the craft culture that still exists in Turkey, the products designed by Dutch designer Rianne Koens build a bridge between East and West.
