Umut Demirel

Umut Demirel studied Industrial Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Media and Journalism at Volda University College and gained experience in different design offices. Umut Demirel established his eponymous design office in Istanbul in 2012 and continued to develop designs for national and international companies. The designer, who is interested in numerical sciences such as physics, mathematics and geometry, effectively reflects this interest in the products he develops. In his design studio, Umut Demirel realizes design projects in a wide range of fields from product design to furniture design, from packaging design to promotion and event design. In 2011 and 2012, Umut Demirel won the 'Red Dot Design Award' design competition and was among the designers selected for the Ambiente Fair 'Talents' area in 2010, Wanted Design 'Design:Istanbul-New York' exhibition organized within the scope of New York Design Week in 2013, and Maison & Objet Paris 'Talent A La Carte' in 2014.
