Defne Koz

Industrial designer Defne Koz studied at the Domus Academy in Milan before joining the Memphis Studio of the legendary Ettore Sottsass. In her work, she utilizes the synthesis of her Turkish roots and Italian cult product, innovation and emotion. His curiosity for a wide variety of products is matched by his interest in human convergence of new technologies, rediscovering craft and revealing the sensory properties of materials. At Koz Susani Design, which he co-founded with Marco Susani in Chicago, they design everything from high-tech products to high-touch material and interaction design, from luxury crafts to mass-produced and local products. With clients such as Alessi, Derin, Foscarini, Swarovski, Verreum and Vitra, the studio has won awards from Elle Décor International, Reddot and the German Design Council. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums such as The Triennale Di Milano, Milan's Galleria Post Design, Marta Herford, Ozone Gallery Tokyo, Les Atelier Gallery Paris.
